“Waters Edge has been a Godsend to us. During The COVID Pandemic we chose to move our 87 year old mother into their assisted living care. We were concerned of the transition, moving her out of her home of 62 years, but they made it happen seamlessly. She adapted very quickly; she would tell us that she was happy, and we were thankful. She made friends and participated in lots of their social activities and field trips headed by awesome Taylor. She would have her hair and nails done, participated in Chaplain Ed’s in-house services and meetings. We ALL love Chaplain Ed! They had trips to restaurants, saw the Christmas lights, Walmart.
After six years in assisted living, at the age of 95 she required a move to the third floor: Memory Care. We dreaded this move. Once again the transition was seamless. Everyone worked so hard to make her comfortable. Head of Nursing Carolyn Blesson runs a tight ship! Annette, head of Memory Care is a very special person. She developed a special bond with our mother. Our mother was not just taken care of, she was LOVED. The nurses are phenomenal: Annette, Candace, Andrea and Jenifer. And we particularly love “Gigi” her lady helper.
We have nothing but gratitude and respect for Waters Edge; thank you always.”

“I have been very impressed by the care provided at Waters Edge of Bradenton. From the DON Caroline to memory care director Annette to care assistant Gigi, the concern they have for the well being of their residents is apparent & genuine. Also the campus is pretty, the apartments are large, the buildings are clean, & there are lots of activities for social engagement. I confidently recommend!”

“When first moving to the Bradenton area, my family lived there they were, happy while staying in the community at Waters Edge. They were living with a private residence on the grounds, not a apartment unit, or the memory care area of the complex. At the time of their acceptance they were given a certificate for complimentary meals redeemable at the community restaurant facility. The certificate was only valid for the first year of residence. The weren't informed of this dinner detail. The move in month was October, giving them less than 3 to schedule the dinner reservation. They were happy with their stay. But eventually the flaws of management and maintenance of the property became apparent. The were supposed to have an emergency fall and panic system, the system was disconnected and disabled prior to their moving into the community. The management offices refused to update the system and activate it. Also problems with pests, on residencial grounds raccoons were seen on numerous occasions, once visibly acting in an intoxicated manner, and during daylight hours, raccoons are nocturnal (an indication of rabies infection). During the summer months an insect infestation became apparent as well, limited unprofessional extermination methods were tried. The ants could be found in the lanai parts of the living areas and master bedroom. During the wetter weather mold had begun to show up in public areas, most notably in the security booth guarding the entrance. The staff slowly started to quit because of health issues, at one point the staff was unable to respond properly to an emergency call allowing Bradenton EMS entrance to the community. At this point my family and parents began to search for other residence, and made arrangements to leave the Water's Edge complex. Although the amenities and on-site services seemed to be beneficial to residents, the future detrimental factors caused my family to leave less than two years after moving into the complex.”

“Our experience at Waters Edge Of Bradenton was nothing short of excellence! From our first walk-in meeting with Laurie Baker to see the facilities we felt so comfortable with Laurie, the staff, the facility itself and the gorgeous dining room. Our next meeting was to bring my uncle and my aunt into Waters Edge to view the campus themselves. We all met with Laurie Baker again and had a wonderful lunch in the 5 star dining room and again every person we met was so nice and down to earth and gave us all a good Midwestern home feel! My uncle and aunt decided this is the place for them! Laurie gave us the name of great Movers and the move was silk smooth. Our family feels so blessed and cannot thank Laurie Baker and the staff of Waters Edge Of Bradenton for making us all feel the comfort safe Haven for my uncle and Aunt!
